January 2011.

Tang Soo Do - Grading
A Big New Year Chop.
2011 New Year Grading
Members of the Haverhill Tang Soo Do Korean Martial Arts Club took part in an upgrading Examination Grading held on the 15th January 2011 in Cambridgeshire in front of the 10th Dan Grand Master Lee Kang UK.

Haverhill Students Steven Swaby and Ashley Scott were awarded their First Dan Senior Grades with Certificate and Holly Corsby was awarded her First Dan Black Belt, Suit and Certificate.

Haverhill Instructors Mr Dean Blackwell and Mr Craig Phillips commented “I has been great seeing student achieve long term goals, it really shows amazing character to fully commit to training and go through all the tough times and come out the other side much stronger, fitter and more confident individuals. We are very proud of the students that were awarded their new grades, and are great role models for the whole class to look up to.

This coming year we are looking to expand the club and encourage more people to come and have a go, Tang Soo Do is suitable for males, females, boys and girls from the age of six upwards including families and provides a firm basis for real personal advancement especially confidence, health, fitness and flexibility.

Tang Soo Do is a classical martial art.

Its purpose is to develop every aspect of self, in order to create a mature personality who totally integrates his/her intellect, body, emotions and spirit.

This total integration helps to create a person who is free from inner conflict and who can deal with the outside world in a mature, confident, intelligent, forthright, and virtuous manner.

For anyone interested in trying out this Traditional Korean Martial Art of self defence.
